丈夫不蓋廁所！ 妻百般煎熬訴請離婚

印度「寶萊塢」近期上映電影《廁所愛情故事（Toilet: Ek Prem Katha）》，內容講述一名婦女因丈夫不願蓋廁所而分居。不料該電影事件真實上演，印度一名20歲女子就因丈夫遲遲不肯在家中蓋廁所，訴請離婚獲准。

此案也在近（18）日開庭審理，法官沙爾瑪（Rajendra Kumar Sharma）表示，廁所為家庭必需品，讓妻子在野外如廁是一種「恥辱」，對女性更是一種「虐待」，加上丈夫願意花錢買菸和酒，卻不願蓋廁所維護家人尊嚴，判女子與丈夫離婚成立。
此外，報導也指出，聯合國兒童基金會資料顯示，有60%印度人習慣在野外隨意大小便，不過卻有50%的女性強姦事件，發生在她們野外上廁所途中。印度總理莫迪也在2014上任後，也提供預算補助人民再家建廁所，希望在2019年達到家家戶戶有廁所。
